Our
Mission
To provide a homeschool instructional program that supports children in growing academically, gaining real-life skills & developing strong character for life.
Faith &
Character
We value incorporating general biblical principles such as integrity, respect, responsibility & compassion
to support character development.
We do not teach specific doctrines or denominational beliefs. We believe faith formation & religious instruction
remains with each family.
We aim to support not replace that foundation
through the environment we create.

Daily Rhythm
Each day begins with movement and connection.
We start with the Pledge of Allegiance and a short moment of reflection through prayer, scripture connecting it to how we live, learn, and treat others.
From there, students engage in physical movement before transitioning into focused academic work, building strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
As the day continues, learning expands into project-based experiences, hands-on skills, and real-life applications that reinforce both knowledge and character.
We prioritize time outdoors, movement,
and active learning throughout the day,
because we believe children learn best
when they are engaged, capable,
and connected to the world around them.
Why Choose Us?
Because school should feel different.
Not rushed.
Not boxed in.
Not one-size-fits-all.
At Wagyumama Schoolhouse, your child is known,
challenged, and given real responsibility.
They’re not just sitting and memorizing, they’re learning through movement,
nature, and real-life experiences.
Whether on a working ranch or in a nature-based setting with trails,
gardens, and outdoor exploration,
children are immersed in environments that help them grow,
academically, physically, and personally.
This is a place where kids don’t just learn,
they become who they were meant to be.

Who We Are

Wagyumama Schoolhouse is a hybrid homeschool program
with two very unique learning environments.
One rooted in a working ranch. Laurel Hill
One immersed in nature, conservation land with trails. Freeport
Both built with the same purpose,
giving children a place to learn through doing, not just sitting.
We are a family-built, heart-led community
that believes children thrive
when they are moving, building, creating
and taking ownership of their learning.
Here, education goes beyond academics.
We are raising children who are not only learning
but becoming capable, confident and grounded.
We are not trying to recreate traditional school.
We are building something different,
something more aligned with how children are meant to grow.
A place where:
• curiosity is encouraged
• responsibility is expected
• children have the space to become capable and confident
Two locations. One mission. Real learning, rooted in life.
