Wagyumama Schoolhouse is a Unique Hybrid Homeschool instructional Program. We accept PEP and UA Step Up scholarships and offer cash paying discounts. We are rooted in nature, real world learning and strong academics. We are not a traditional school. We offer Flexible program options designed to support families in creating a customized, hands on educational experience.

We value the role of incorporating general biblical principles to support character development, including values such as integrity, respect, and responsibility. We do not teach specific topics, such as salvation or denominational beliefs, as we feel the responsibility for religious instruction remains with each family and their faith community.

Because Wagyumama Schoolhouse operates as a homeschool instructional program, we do expect families to support and supplement learning at home. However, we intentionally do not assign traditional homework or busywork. Instead, we provide families with clear, structured academic reinforcement through our scope and sequence. Our goal is to partner with families by providing meaningful academic structure while allowing home learning to remain flexible, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate. Rather than overwhelming students with large amounts of take-home work, we focus on consistent skill mastery, strong reading habits, and real-life learning experiences. We recommendations progression placement tests through MAP Growth test. (An adaptive test that gets harder or easier based on answers. Uses for math, reading and language. MAP shows exacte skill level, not just grade level and gioves a RIT, tracs growth over time)

Yes. Wagyumama Schoolhouse is an approved provider, and families can use Step Up for Students scholarships (FES-PEP and FES-UA) toward tuition and eligible program costs. ⸻ Does Step Up cover the Full 5-day program? It can, but it depends on your child’s scholarship amount and how you choose to use those funds. Our 5-day program is $900/month (Approximately Walton County $8,100–$9,000/year). Most Step Up scholarships are:     •    FES-PEP: around $7,500–$9,500/year     •    FES-UA: often $10,000+/year (varies by student) What that means:     •    Some families are fully covered     •    Some are mostly covered and pay a small difference     •    Some may have more out-of-pocket depending on how funds are used (curriculum, therapies, etc.) ⸻ What about the $500 registration fee? The $500 registration fee is eligible to be paid using Step Up funds. However, many families choose to pay this out of pocket so they can preserve more of their scholarship funds for monthly tuition. ⸻ Are electives included in tuition? No. Electives are optional and not included in the base hybrid tuition.     •    Electives typically start at $100/month per class     •    These can also be paid using Step Up funds if desired ⸻ What’s the difference between PEP and UA?     •    FES-PEP is the most common scholarship for homeschool and hybrid programs like ours     •    FES-UA is for students with qualifying diagnoses (IEP or specific medical/learning needs) A gifted designation or 504 alone typically does not qualify for UA ⸻ Can I switch from PEP to UA? It is very difficult to switch scholarship types once you’ve applied and been awarded for the year, so most families remain in their original program until the next application cycle. But with the right paper work this is possible. ⸻ How do payments work? What is the Wagyumama Passenger Van Program? The Wagyumama Passenger Van Program provides safe, structured, and reliable transportation for enrolled students traveling to and from our Laurel Hill ranch campus. This is not a casual carpool. It is a planned, insured, and supervised transportation program operated by Wagyumama Schoolhouse. Our van allows children to fully experience ranch days without families spending hours driving back and forth, creating ease, consistency, and peace of mind. Seats are limited and routes are intentionally capped for safety. ⸻ Who is this for?
